If you are very familiar with the Tecno L series, you will agree with me that Tecno has edged over so many Android brands and Phone makers when it comes to Power and Power management. That is why the Chinese Company has ensured that the L series continues. But this time, it will be called by the name it ought to have been called a long time ago ‘POUVOIR’. Pouvoir is a French translation of Power. It seems to make a lot of sense to call this Smartphone Pouvoir for obvious reasons. Of course, a smartphone that can maintain power for up to 3 days before its next recharge should be called Power. The Pouvoir is also known as Tecno LA7 but I think we all agree that the name ‘Pouvoir’ Or ‘Power’ suits it best. The name Pouvoir given to this device is not just significant to the outstanding battery life alone, it still has some very wonderful features around it. Features like its;
- 6.0 HD+ Full Display
- Android 8.1 Oreo Operating System
- 4G LTE Connectivity
- 1.3GHz Quad-core processor
- 16GB ROM
- 2GB RAM
- 5000mAh battery
TECNO Pouvoir 2 shares a similar design with most recent TECNO phones. A 6.0-inch full display with tiny bezels and a resolution of 1440 x 720. It has a plastic covering with the fingerprint scanner behind, It measures 159.8×76.8×8.5mm in dimension.
Latest Tecno phones should run on Android 8.1 Oreo which is modified with Tecno’s HiOS just like it is on the Pouvoir 2. It is also powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, has a MediaTek MT6737 processor in charge with a Mali-T720 MP1 GPU which is fair enough for basic usage and isn’t short of my expectations.
It has a 16GB internal memory (expandable to up to 128GB), while it also has 2GB RAM to help in performing operations.
Over the years, TECNO Power (L-series) have been known to have poor cameras. But a big improvement is here now on the Pouvoir 2. It has an 8MP selfie camera with Flash and a 13MP rear camera with Flash.
Connectivity and Misc.
There is a Face ID, it is 4G enabled, supports GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and OTG.
TECNO’s campaign message for the Pouvoir has been about it having a strong battery life and it being able to stay up for 4 days which is 96hrs on a full
charge. The battery strength of this device would have even inspired the name of the device. The L9 plus successor is powered by a 5000mAh non-removable battery capacity.

Tecno Pouvoir Low points
The device looks fabulous for Mid-Range qualities and Spotting its flaws won’t be really easy. If there would be any imperfection in this device even though there is hardly any, I will nominate the camera. Tecno has done a lot to improve this device camera and it betters its predecessors in this camera
section. It even has the beauty mode and others, but its still below par and doesn’t quite match the other monster specs this device carries.
How Does The Pouvoir Better Its Predecessor ( Tecno L9)?
Tecno L9 and L9+ match Pouvoir in terms of internal storage, as well as the Processor speed. Only the L9+ has up to 2GB RAM which means Pouvoir edges it here against Tecno L9 only. Same goes for the battery capacity when L9+ and Pouvoir are both on the 5000mAh mark and the regular L9 is left at 4000mAh. In the Camera L9 comes as well with 8MP/5MP, followed by L9+ which has 13MP/5MP and finally the Pouvoir 2 leads with 13MP/8MP, rear and front respectively. But Pouvoir clinches it finally for me with its 4G feature. All other L-series lags in this area but Tecno has just done the needful on this Pouvoir 2. These are the notable differences and I guess choosing will be very easy from now on.
