Samsung has launched the Galaxy On6 yesterday in India. The device is a little below 6 inches but would you have known even after seeing it? I doubt. The Infinity Design on the Galaxy On6 gives consumers nearly 15% more display area without increasing the overall size of the device. It has so much room on the front for display all thanks to the ultra-tiny bezels. The absence of the physical home button also had a very big role to play in the new look.
Samsung On6 Design
Samsung would hardly disappoint when it comes to making sleek designs. There were so many alterations to make this device different. Physical home button was completely removed and replaced with a software-powered in-display home button. Fingerprint feature is present but didn’t make it to the screen like the home button. The Samsung On6 has now joined the likes of Samsung Galaxy J6 with fingerprint sensors on the rear of the device.
These changes deliver an 18.5:9 aspect ratio that provides an end to end viewing experience and more browsing space. The phone comes with a 5.60-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1480 pixels at a PPI of 293 pixels per inch. Also with Samsung’s Super AMOLED display technology that produces deeper contrasts and delivers the most vivid viewing experience.
Software And Hardware
The Samsung mobile latest device is made to accommodate up to 64GB of data in its internal memory with a stunning 4GB RAM. It is powered by the Exynos 7870 1.6GHz, Octa-core processor. This device is good enough to be your Samsung S8 or S9 alternative or should I say its a mini version since it is well below $300 with very nice specs and features.
Camera And Face ID Feature
Samsung Galaxy On6 packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies. Both cameras come with f/1.9 aperture that delivers brilliant low light camera performance. The front camera on this device also enables Face Unlock as an additional security feature.
How Does The Galaxy On6 Standout Among Others ??
Ayyappan Rajagopal, Senior Director at Flipkart said, “The Samsung Galaxy On6 combines the best-in-class technology, the flagship infinity screen making it a great choice for customers looking for a mid-range smartphone. Packed with brand new ‘Make for India’ innovations such as ‘Chat-Over-Video’, My Galaxy Video and Samsung Pay Mini. Galaxy On6 is a perfect companion for multi-taskers,” said Sandeep Singh Arora, Vice President, Online Business, Samsung India.
Chat Over Video And My Galaxy video
We have seen the chat over video in Previous Samsung devices like the A6 few months ago. It allows users to chat on a video. The On6 has this feature as well. In addition, Galaxy On6 comes with My Galaxy Video with which users can experience aggregated and curated video content from some of the largest and most popular content providers. My Galaxy Video is a video store to get curated playlists of short-form content, a vast pool of original shows and full-length Bollywood movies.
Price And Availability
Getting this device looks like a good deal. It ranks high on the list of mid-range smartphones and it is well equipped with nice specs. Super amazing for a normal day-to-day usage, wonderful for business and is still very okay for graphics-intensive tasks. The only ‘let-downs’ are the processing speed and battery capacity. Unlike the Tecno Povoiur 2 that last 3 days before the next recharge, the ON6 is just 3000mAh which is not entirely bad too.
